The National Consensus Commission is set to hold its third day of discussions with the BNP to gather their opinions on the reform proposals submitted by five commissions.

The BNP delegation will join the discussion at 11:00 AM today (Tuesday, April 22nd) at the LD Hall of the Parliament building.

Previously, on April 17th and 20th, a five-member BNP delegation, led by Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, held day-long meetings with the Consensus Commission regarding the proposals.

The BNP officially submitted their reform proposals on March 23rd.

Following the ouster of the Awami League government on August 5th last year, the interim government, which assumed power, formed eleven commissions in two phases with the aim of reforming the state.

The National Consensus Commission, led by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, began its activities on February 15th with the goal of building national consensus on the recommendations of these commissions.
