Book Launch of Brigadier General Nasimul Gani's New Publication

The book launch event of "Regional Security and the Chittagong Peace Accord 1997: Bangladesh as a Model for Incomplete Peacebuilding", authored by retired Brigadier General Nasimul Gani, was held on Monday (January 6) at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.

Tawhid Hossain, the Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Bangladesh Interim Government, unveiled the book. Lieutenant General Abdul Hafiz, Special Assistant to the Interim Government's Ministry of Defense and National Solidarity Development, was a special guest at the event.

In his speech, Major Del H. Khan highlighted the book's significance, stating that it is dedicated to the heroic martyrs of July-August. The launch ceremony was presided over by the author, Brigadier General Nasimul Gani.

Prominent attendees included former Chief of Army Staff General Nur Uddin, Lieutenant General Aminul Karim, Major General Rezzakul Haider, Major General Alauddin MA Wadud (BPP), Major General Jamil (BPP), Chairman of RAOWA Club Colonel Abdul Haq, Lieutenant Colonel Manish Dewan, Professor Abul Kashem Mojumder, Professor Abdul Hamid, Professor Salimullah Khan, Executive Editor of Diplomatic World magazine Mizanur Rahim, and Faruq Hossain, a student wounded in the July Revolution.

The event saw the participation of various dignitaries from both military and civil professions.
