Mic seized for violation of election code of conduct in Lakshmipur

A microphone and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw used for campaigning in the Laxmipur-3 constituency have been seized for campaigning by boat in violation of the code of conduct. The campaigner and the autorickshaw driver were also arrested.

On Monday (December 18) after 8:00 p.m., members of the city police outpost seized the microphone along with the auto-rickshaw while coming from Laharkandi village of Sadar upazila.

It is known that the election campaign code of conduct is violated after 8 pm. Violation of rules by campaigning after a specified time.
Under the direction of the District Superintendent of Police, the campaigner and driver were arrested and the auto-rickshaw and microphone used in their campaign were seized. They are in police outpost custody.
