Students from polytechnic institutes launched a siege program at the Directorate of Technical Education, citing long-standing negligence and unfulfilled promises. Protesters claim that despite being responsible for implementing six key recommendations, the directorate has failed to execute even a single demand over the past one and a half years.

They also accused the authority of remaining silent over controversies surrounding assistant engineer positions, even though diploma engineers fall directly under its jurisdiction. Students further blamed the disputed 2021 recruitment process for the current crisis.

According to protesters, while engineering college students received swift institutional support, polytechnic students faced prolonged deprivation, prompting them to intensify their movement for equal treatment and fair policy decisions.
