A leading private company in the United Arab Emirates has taken an exceptional initiative to encourage young people to form families. Showing respect for important personal life decisions of its employees, Dubai-based Al Habtoor Group has announced substantial financial grants for marriage, with double benefits for the birth of a child.

In a post on social media platform X, prominent Dubai businessman and founder-chairman of Al Habtoor Group, Khalaf Al Habtoor, said that any Emirati citizen employed at his organization who decides to get married will receive 50,000 dirhams.

Not only that—he also promised to double the grant if the couple has a child within two years of marriage.

In Bangladeshi currency, this amount is equivalent to approximately Tk 3.2 million.

He further said, “Marriage and family formation are not merely personal matters; rather, they are social and national responsibilities. The role of the family is immense in building a strong nation and a stable society.”

He believes that the government already provides various forms of support to help young people begin family life. Alongside this, he emphasized that every capable institution and citizen in the country should take such practical initiatives.

According to the latest statistics, the total population of the UAE reached approximately 11.5 million in 2025, of which only 15 percent are local citizens. To maintain demographic balance and ensure family security for nationals, the UAE government has long been running various financial programs.

Essentially, this special bonus or grant has been introduced to increase the participation of Emirati citizens in the private sector and to ensure their social security.

It is hoped that this announcement by Al Habtoor Group will further strengthen the government’s ongoing efforts.
