Planning Advisor Wahid Uddin Mahmud said that the tender process of all projects will be done online to bring transparency.

He made these remarks at a briefing after the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) at the NEC conference room in Agargaon in the capital on Wednesday.

Stating that the tender process of all projects will be done online from now on to remove irregularities and opacity, the Planning Advisor said, “The law related to this will be published in the form of a gazette next week. If this law is passed, the dominance of a few mafia organizations in various sectors including the railway sector and energy will end.”

Wahid Uddin Mahmud said, “Work will be given to organizations that have qualifications, not by looking at anyone's influence. If an organization defaults on loans or has been involved in any irregularities before, that organization will not be considered eligible for the tender.”

Stating that the government has made a silent revolution in bringing transparency at various levels of the project implementation process, he said, "We have stopped irregularities and corruption in project implementation. As a result, no officials are showing interest in becoming project directors."
